Key Responsibilities
• Prepare electrical system construction documents, including load calculations, power distribution, and lighting plans, based on project requirements.
• Design and evaluate electrical service systems that meet NEC, IECC, and other relevant building codes.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver seamless, code-compliant designs.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and manufacturer’s information to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Provide remote support during construction, including responding to RFIs and addressing technical clarifications.
• Conduct site visits as needed to document existing conditions and assess construction progress
• Manage project timelines, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule while maintaining open communication with all parties.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in electrical design for commercial and/or residential projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.). Experience with Revit is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of NEC, IECC, and other relevant building codes.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
• PE license preferred, but candidates working toward licensure or certification, or with relevant design experience, are encouraged to apply.
