Must thrive in a small company environment, which requires a well-rounded skill set, the ability to balance time-sensitive tasks for multiple clients, and the desire to explore new and innovative designs. Candidate should be detail orientated and able to both work independently and collaboratively with large teams.
Responsibilities
- Client relationships – develop, manage, and maintain client relationships.
- Marketing – identify and actively pursue project opportunities resulting in securing work.
- Project Management – effectively manage multi-discipline project teams
- Staff Supervision – provide for staff growth through nurturing staff in a respectful, collaborative approach that promotes individual professional growth and positive team spirit.
- Group growth – assist the group leadership in developing and implementing a strategic growth plan for the market including short and long-term action plans and financial goals.
Education/Experience requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in civil or related engineering
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with an emphasis in managing parks, green infrastructure and/or redevelopment projects
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota or have the ability to become licensed within 6 month of hire.
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Excellent organization, technical and analytical skills
- Excellent supervisory and team building skills
- Proven ability to manage projects using AutoCAD/Civil 3D
Education/Experience preferences:
- Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling experience
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to provide own means of reliable transportation for occasional day trips.
