Full-time entry to mid-level project engineer working under the direction of a registered Professional
Engineering and/or Civil Engineering Supervisor on engineering design and construction projects such as
bus and rail transit lines and stations, site developments, bridges, and highways.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor′s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or other related field
- A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of
- transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions
Experience
- 2 - 6 years of entry to mid-level engineering experience in related disciplines
- Preferred Requirements/Qualifications
- State of California registration as an Engineer-in-Training or a Professional Engineer (Civil,
- Structural, or related)
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microstation software
- Theories, principles, and practices of engineering analysis, design, and construction
- Knowledge of industry applicable local and state-wide governmental authorities

Example Duties
- Provides engineering design support and design support during construction while working under
- the direction of project/task lead and/or registered civil engineer
- Prepare engineering deliverables and implements appropriate corrective actions
- Manage, design, develop, create and maintain projects
- Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other)
- Technical writing and preparation of technical memorandums, reports, and feasibility studies
- Develop CAD base maps and modeling databases in Civil 3D or related modeling software
- Familiarity with quantity takeoffs, cost estimate and schedule preparation
- Ability to read and analyze survey documentation, easements, and entitlement reports
- Construction plan and profile preparation using Civil 3D
- Development of construction cross sections and vertical design profiles
- Analyze contract documents, shop drawings, specifications, RFI (request for information) for
- compliance with codes, project specifications, and Agency/Owner design criteria
- Prepare and Submit Permits to Comply with Federal, State, and Local Regulations
- Preparation of construction redlines and as-builts
- Coordinates projects with utility companies, railroad, and city, county, and state agencies when
- required
- Daily coordination with other project discipline representatives and teams
