Transportation Engineer responsibilities include:
- Design of highway, municipal, and site development improvements, including roadway elements, site grading, storm drainage, water main distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection systems, and other site or public utilities.
- Preparation of local, state and federal permit applications.
- Identifying and handling compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Collaborating with design staff.
In order to be considered for our Transportation Engineer position, we are considering candidates who possess the following minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- EIT certification preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of relatable experience in transportation engineering, highway design, and local street design.
- MicroStation and Civil 3D experience is preferred.
- Candidates with additional years of experience are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of IDOT, CDOT, municipal and IL Tollway design and standards a plus.
