Excellent Opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer for the surrounding Longwood, FL (Orlando) location, with a minimum of 6 years Industry Experience. Work would mostly involve Multifamily design, with Apartments, Condos, Student Housing, Assisted Living Facilities, Mixed Use, Townhomes, Timeshares, and High Rises, Restaurants, Hotels & Commercial Buildings.
· Execute code search if job is in a new location and standard Electrical design methods are questionable.
· Execute Revit or CAD Electrical Engineering for Projects.
· Coordinate with other departments as it relates to design it verify the electrical equipment will not conflict with other trades.
· Coordinate with Project Manager and Department Heads any concerns as it relates to Electrical design.
· Produce the job on time and within budget.
· Review and respond to Building Department Comments.
· Review Electrical fixture / equipment shop drawings.
· Go on site visit as assigned to inspect the Electrical installation.
· As required, converse with Architect and/or Owner regarding Electrical conflicts / coordination and review of progress drawings.
· Be an integral part of the overall Quality Control process as directed by the Design Manager.
Requirements
· Have the ability to get to and from the office and be present during normal business hours, and be willing to Travel up to 20% for meetings and site visits.
· Requires a 4-Year Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology, having successfully have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam as well as passed the Professional Engineer Exam and obtained licensure.
· Requires: Revit & AutoCAD Design experience, a working knowledge of external referencing, blocks, layers, and attributes as they pertain to the Building Construction Industry.
· Must be computer and internet literate. Must be able to communicate verbally in and writing in English. Must be able to accept tasks and meet project deadlines.
