What You’ll Do:
You’ll lead design efforts across a range of land development projects, focusing on small-scale sites (generally under 5 acres). This role is approximately 80% design and 20% light oversight, ideal for someone who prefers creating over managing. You’ll collaborate closely with our in-house landscape architects to deliver high-performance, integrated site solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and document stormwater management facilities (infiltration, detention, water quality)
• Develop multiple design concepts in Hydraflow Hydrographs, refine in AutoCAD Civil3D
• Prepare comprehensive stormwater management reports
• Design retaining walls using QRW 5.0
• Lay out site utilities and coordinate permitting (including with GDOT)
• Design site grading to work with stormwater strategies, ADA access, and site constraints
• Research local stormwater codes and permitting requirements for multiple municipalities
• Coordinate closely with our landscape architects for integrated site design
• Design driveway aprons and coordinate Right-of-Way permitting
• Contribute to long-term planning and potentially grow into a leadership role as the team expands
What We’re Looking For:
• PE license in Georgia
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
• 5+ years of experience in site civil design, land development, utility layout, and stormwater design
• Strong skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with Hydraflow Hydrographs and QRW 5.0
• Familiarity with Revit is helpful but not required
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Desire to be hands-on, self-directed, and contribute creatively to integrated design solutions
