Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our MEP design team. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing mechanical systems for diverse building types, including commercial, healthcare, and industrial facilities. This role involves collaborating with architects and other engineering disciplines to deliver energy-efficient and code-compliant solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Design & Modeling: Perform heating and cooling load calculations using software like Carrier HAP or Trane TRACE 700. Create detailed 3D models and construction documents in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
- System Selection: Sizing and selecting mechanical equipment, including air handling units (AHUs), chillers, pumps, and VAV boxes.
- Coordination: Collaborate with electrical and plumbing engineers to ensure system integration and resolve spatial conflicts using Navisworks.
- Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, ASHRAE standards, and LEED sustainability requirements.
- Project Management: Attend site visits to monitor installation quality, review shop drawings, and respond to RFIs (Request for Information) during the construction phase.

Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Licensure: EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification is preferredd; a Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred for senior roles.
- Experience: 3–8 years of experience specifically within a consulting engineering firm or the MEP industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and energy modeling software.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills for client interactions and multi-disciplinary teamwork.
