My client is seeking a Project Manager / Senior MEP Engineer to join our growing team in Oakbrook Terrace. This is a unique opportunity for a well-rounded engineer who enjoys both technical design and project leadership, and is looking for a long-term path into business leadership and succession.

About the Role
This position will play a key role in managing projects while remaining actively involved in design. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with the ability to lead projects from concept through completion.
Over time, this role will evolve into broader business and operational leadership, with a clear path toward long-term growth within the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage MEP projects from design through construction
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
- Perform and oversee design work across MEP systems as needed
- Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to client satisfaction
- Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development
- Assist with operational and business initiatives as the role evolves
What We’re Looking For
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Experience in consulting engineering environments (preferably small to mid-sized firms)
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Proven ability to manage projects while staying technically involved
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a collaborative, team-oriented setting
- Interest in growing into a business leadership role over time
