Specific position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- The engineer will work closely with senior engineers and project managers to generate drawings and specifications for electrical systems such as:
- Electrical power distribution systems (typically 120-480V)
- Emergency and standby generators systems
- Lighting designs including layouts, controls and emergency lighting
- Fire alarm initiation and notification systems
- IT & Telephone system layouts
- Other special systems such as access control and security systems
- The role will additionally be responsible for coordinating physical space constrains with other disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, plumbing, structural and fire protection.
- The role will have the opportunity to learn local and national standards and codes while implementing designs (such as NEC and other NFPA codes).
- It is anticipated that the engineer will quickly adapt to the role and will become a key player in working with clients and end users.
Desired Skills and Experience Qualifications:
- 4 year accredited degree in Electrical Engineering; PE candidates will be given strong preference.
- 3-7 years’ experience.
- Desire to quickly learn Autodesk Revit & AutoCAD.
- Strong problem solving skills and efficient working habits.
