Responsibilities:
Function as a traffic engineer tasked with developing traffic impact analyses (TIA) to include trip generation, trip distribution, LOS analysis as well as queuing and sight distance studies related to proposed developments.
Write traffic analysis reports and summaries of traffic operations analyses
Providing design support using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD (depending upon the Client) relating to traffic signal design, signal communications cable routing plans, and/or pavement markings and signing tasks
Prepares a variety of engineering research and administrative materials, and develops correspondence, records, memorandums and reports, attends meetings and training sessions, responds to inquiries and concerns from private and public entities, and other County officials and departments.
Attend client and professional organization meetings
Requirements:
BS degree in Civil Engineering
PE license in NC, SC, and/or VA or ability to obtain through reciprocity within 6 months
4+ years' experience in traffic engineering
Experience with Synchro/SimTraffic, Transmodeler, SIDRA, HCS and comparable software required
