The Senior Project Structural Engineer must be proficient in designing structures constructed of structural Steel, reinforced and prestressed concrete, timber and masonry in accordance with current applicable standards and codes with emphasis in the design of low rise buildings. In addition, the Senior Project Structural Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that their delegated projects are completed on time and within the budget provided.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop contract documents for structural engineering projects, including plans, technical specifications, reports, structural cost estimates and other relevant Project types include new structures and rehabilitation of existing steel and concrete structures.
- Responsible for project development, handle scheduling, creating proposals and budgeting.
- Review and approve construction documents such as shop drawings, RFI’s, Change Orders and Equivalent Substitutions
- Perform plan reviews in accordance with the Michigan Building Code
- Seal and sign project documents
- Perform routine and detailed inspections for various types of structures
- Maintain a good relationship with the client both during the project and upon completion to promote client loyalty and secure future work
Requirements:
- Experience troubleshooting Revit questions and project issues
- Experience with Revit family creation
- Written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work and coordinate multiple projects at once.
- Computer skills in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
- Effective communication skills and great attitude are a MUST.
