Role Responsibilities
As an Associate Electrical engineer, you will be responsible for the internal growth of each project. As a subject matter expert, the daily design activities will flow through your desk. In your role, you will:
- Produce complete electrical systems design drawings in accordance with the code
- Collaborate in solving a variety of complex engineering problems (e.g., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements).
- Organize technical and financial proposals for new work
- Keep senior staff informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the client are achieved
- Establish a strong relationship with the design team
- Make sure you are responding to requests and communicating information accurately and in a timely manner
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required; PE highly preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Electrical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the MEP space
- Expert knowledge of building codes and standards, engineering drafting standards, Electrical engineering standards, and other trades
- Expert understanding of the construction process and interpretation of construction drawings
- Ability to accept a high degree of responsibility in a team-based organization, combined with the ability to work independently
- Excellent technical knowledge of electrical systems; ability to investigate, identify and provide solutions to technical problems
- Experience in the preparation of technical reports for delivery direct to a client audience
- Expert skills with AutoCAD and Revit
