This position is responsible for planning, organizing, performing, and managing detailed industrial electrical system design projects. This role will serve as the technical electrical engineering lead for the Dallas office in supporting team members, standards, and quality oversight. In addition to supporting marketing and business development with new and existing accounts. Job responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
· Planning, organizing, performing, and managing detailed industrial electrical system design projects.
· Research applicable industry standards, prepare and critique engineering studies, analysis of systems, preliminary and detailed engineering designs.
· Develop and review engineering specifications.
· Direct and review work of project design team, check progress of work and alert managers to change of scope and additional services.
· Coordinate all aspects of project document completion.
· Direct contributing engineers and CAD designers for the preparation of construction and control panel design drawings.
· Possess ability to interpret applicable codes.
· Independently work with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to codes is required.
· Performing overall project quality control.
· Coordinate project design with other engineering disciplines.
· Ensuring project deliverables meet Our expectations.
· Managing all phases of a project - setup, execution, and closeout
· Developing and maintaining project design schedules
· Providing a single point of contact between us and client – getting information from client for the design, providing the client with necessary information, and resolving most project issues with the client.
· Planning, overall scope, schedule and budget monitoring.
· Support Marketing & Business Development in effort to develop new business and opportunities within existing accounts.
· Visit field to scope out projects.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
· Master’s Degree is a plus.
· Professional Engineer license is required, PMP certification is a plus
· Minimum of eight (8) years of applicable consulting experience,
· Expertise in specifying, designing systems for industrial/manufacturing facilities (power, oil & gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, food & beverage).
· Extensive knowledge of and ability to specify Electrical Component and Field Devices (combination starters, VFD’s, MCC’s, heat trace, etc.)
· Extensive experience designing, reviewing and approving Electrical Construction Drawing sets including but not limited to single lines, grounding plans, lighting plans, power location plans, conduit block
· Extensive knowledge of and ability to specify power systems for use in hazardous area locations as identified by NFPA 70
· Experience with generator sizing software.
· Working Knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70).
· Working knowledge of Codes and Standards
· Basic understanding of all engineering disciplines with capacity to self-perform electrical engineering at a senior level.

Candidates must have experience with the following software:
· Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Autodesk Products – Open and Navigate models and drawings. Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud and REVIT are a plus.
