Work as a member of a design team under the Project Manager to design public utility projects, including underground utility design and treatment plant site and process design. You will perform and assist the performance of plan development in CAD as well as required engineering calculations. You will be involved in projects from the conceptual phase, through the initial planning submittals, and final design, and provide post-design consultation as needed. Responsibilities may include:
- Underground utility plan and profile design.
- Wastewater collection system capacity calculations.
- Water distribution system modeling.
- Water and wastewater treatment process calculation review.
- Plan notes and details.
- Limited site grading design.
- Utility coordination.
- Ensuring site design compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-Accredited Institution.
- Registration as an Engineer Intern in Ohio is required.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in Ohio is preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in structural design preferred.
- Experience using CAD software is strongly preferred. Experience with 3D site/utility modeling suites preferred.
- Stormwater modeling experience is strongly preferred; experience with HydroCAD is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to direct work and provide mentorship to others.
