Position Overview
The primary focus of the Water/Wastewater Engineering Manager role will be to serve as the overall team leader, along with driving business growth within the water resources sector for the company. This group typically focuses on simple and complex design of typical water and wastewater utilities, including:
· Sanitary gravity sewers, force mains and pump stations.
· Waterlines, booster stations and water tanks.
· Water and wastewater treatment plants.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Provide oversight and technical guidance for multiple tasks and projects related to water resource projects.
· Support business development of future pursuits and client management for water resource and environmental projects.
· Successfully manage and deliver projects on time and on budget, while meeting quality requirements.
· Prepare and monitor project budgets and variances.
· Regularly develop and evaluate project plans.
· Assess the feasibility and soundness/validity of proposed engineering evaluations, when necessary data are insufficient.
· Implement company quality control procedures on all projects.
· Conduct peer reviews and make technical presentations.
· Identify potential clients and project opportunities.
· Serve as supervisor for staff direct reports and mentor junior staff providing guidance and support in their professional development within the field of water resources engineering.
· Communication with clients and project team.
Minimum Requirements:
· B.S Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
· Registration as a Professional Engineer in KY and IN, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
· 10-15 years’ experience providing engineering services related to water, wastewater, and drainage.
· Previous experience as a Design Manager or Task Manager for projects
