Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Lead for our Bridge Inspection team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and a proven track record in bridge inspections. As the Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing inspection teams, ensuring the structural integrity of bridges, and maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of bridge inspectors, ensuring efficient and safe execution of inspection activities
Plan, schedule, and perform detailed inspections of bridges and related structures following national and local guidelines (e.g., FHWA, AASHTO)
Prepare comprehensive inspection reports, documenting deficiencies, and recommending necessary repairs or maintenance
Review inspection reports for quality, accuracy, and compliance with regulations
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and government agencies to ensure effective communication and project delivery
Perform structural load evaluations, rating assessments, and condition assessments of bridges
Ensure that the team follows safety protocols and inspection standards at all times
Provide training and mentorship to junior inspectors to build and maintain a high-performing team
Stay updated with the latest industry technologies, methodologies, and regulatory changes
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 12 months (preferred)
Minimum 5+ years of experience in bridge inspection, structural evaluation, or related field
Certification in NBIS (National Bridge Inspection Standards) preferred
Strong understanding of bridge design, construction, and inspection techniques
Proficiency in inspection software and tools (e.g., BrIM, Bentley)
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work in various field conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and various weather conditions
Willingness to travel as needed for on-site inspections
