Director of Engineering for our Jacksonville, Florida office. This position will lead the Civil practice in northeast Florida. As one of the region’s largest engineering firms, we have a significant presence in the Jacksonville market with staff supporting numerous key public and private clients with exceptional planning, landscape architecture, surveying and engineering services. As a key leader within our firm, the successful candidate will play an integral role in growing the business in northeast Florida.
Job Duties:
- Lead and develop a team of project managers, engineers, and technicians for the implementation of public infrastructure projects and/or private land development projects.
- Identify project pursuits, market clients, and manage pursuits including proposal and presentation preparation. Coordinate and develop proposed scope, schedule, and fee for projects pursued and lead the interview team.
- Actively win new work from both new and existing clients by building and maintaining customer relationships, monitoring future work opportunities, communicating regularly, and attending client events.
- Collaboration with other services such as transportation, water, CEI, planning, and landscape architecture/planning to market and deliver full-service project opportunities to clients.
- Directly manage projects on time and within the project budget and maintain a high level of client satisfaction.
- Monitor and manage the financial aspects of all projects within the group. Travel is estimated to be approximately 15% to other offices, meet with clients, attend project-specific meetings, and business development.

Experience
- 17+ years of experience
- Florida experience preferred
Education
- B.S. or M.S. Engineering, Master's Degree or Equivalent Experience Preferred
Certification/Licensure
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License, reciprocity in multiple states.
- Driver's License
