Position Overview
The AutoCAD Designer will be responsible for producing accurate plumbing drawings for single-family homes, multi-family developments, hotels, podiums, and high-rise projects. This role requires hands-on plumbing knowledge, the ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans, and experience coordinating with project managers, field teams, and other trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and revise plumbing AutoCAD drawings for:
- Single-family residential projects
- Multi-family projects (apartments, condos, assisted living)
- Hotels, podiums, and high-rise buildings
- Develop layouts for:
- Domestic water, sanitary, vent, and gas systems
- Riser diagrams and isometrics
- Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, and MEP plans
- Incorporate RFIs, ASIs, and approved change orders into drawings
- Support project managers with drawing updates and clarification for field use
- Ensure drawings comply with:
- Local codes and jurisdiction requirements
- Company standards and project specifications
- Maintain organized CAD files and drawing revisions
Required Qualifications
- Proven plumbing experience (field or office)
- Strong AutoCAD experience (AutoCAD MEP preferred but not required)
- Experience producing plumbing drawings for:
- Single-family residential
- Multi-family projects
- Podium construction
- Hotels and high-rise buildings
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specs
- Understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and installation methods
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for a plumbing contractor or MEP firm
- Familiarity with Las Vegas / Southern Nevada plumbing codes
- Experience coordinating with project managers and field foremen
- Bluebeam or similar plan review software experience
