The ideal candidate is a self-motivated engineer who is:
- Interested in designing light frame wood structures or commercial buildings
- Experienced with Revit and Structural Modeling Software
- Experienced in some client management
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures from an accredited program is required
- Experience with Revit is required
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Familiar with common structural analysis software
- Familiar with International and Residential Building Codes
- Extensive design experience with wood, concrete, steel, and masonry – experience with post-tensioned concrete a plus
- Passionate about the art of engineering and self-motivated
- Ability to work in a team approach environment
- Willing to adapt to different project types and tasks on a daily basis
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
- Previously passed the Professional Engineering examination is a plus
- Able to perform physical field work, including climbing ladders, performing visual observations from afar/rooftops/scaffolding/confined spaces, using precision instruments, etc.
Experience: 3-4+ years
