Responsibilities:
– Work with leadership to shape company reputation as a leader in the field of sustainability.
– Coordinate the strategic direction and implementation of the company’s sustainability strategy and programming.
– Lead and coordinate various sustainability engineering functions and operations.
– Align sustainability initiatives with industry standards, regulatory frameworks, and emerging technologies.
– Implement and oversee sustainability training for new hires and existing employees.
– Carries out supervisory and mentorship responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, operating principles, and applicable laws.
– Maintains knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices in all disciplines of MEP sustainability; applies this knowledge to continually improve processes and production efficiency. Recommend innovative solutions to incorporate sustainability into the firm’s operations and enhance sustainability performance.
– Familiarity with 179D, tax credits/rebates, and other sustainable design funding.
– Familiarity with sustainable certification processes such as LEED checklists, Green Globes, WELL building, etc.
– Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
– B.S. in engineering or equivalent experience.
– At least 5 years of experience in consulting engineering working on a wide range of projects.
– Sustainability certifications (LEED AP, WELL AP, and other applicable certifications).
– Experience with energy modeling using TRANE TRACE 3D preferred.
