Regional Market Leader – North Carolina Region
Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, relationship-focused executive to serve as the Regional Market Leader for North Carolina. This highly visible leadership role is responsible for driving strategic growth, expanding market presence, and strengthening client relationships across the state, with a primary focus on the Water and Architecture business units.
As the senior leader for the North Carolina region, you will develop and execute regional growth strategies, identify and secure new business opportunities, and serve as the executive representative to municipalities, state agencies, and key industry partners. This position offers the opportunity to influence the future of infrastructure development while building and leading a high-performing regional team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive regional growth strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
- Serve as the executive relationship manager for municipalities, state agencies, and regional partners throughout North Carolina.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with public-sector leaders, decision-makers, and industry stakeholders.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities while expanding existing client partnerships.
- Collaborate with Business Unit Vice Presidents to align resources, optimize operations, and deliver integrated client solutions.
- Represent the organization at conferences, industry events, and executive forums.
- Provide strategic revenue forecasts, market intelligence, and client insights to executive leadership.
- Monitor market trends, infrastructure funding opportunities, and industry developments to position the organization for long-term success.
- Oversee regional operations while ensuring alignment with organizational goals, operational excellence, and performance expectations.
- Mentor and develop regional staff while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Business, or a related field required.
- Significant experience in business development, strategic growth, and client relationship management within an engineering, architecture, planning, or technical consulting environment.
- Progressive leadership experience with responsibility for team management and regional business development.
- Demonstrated success developing relationships with municipalities, public agencies, and infrastructure clients.
- Strong strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and executive relationship-building skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout North Carolina and to corporate headquarters as needed.
