Responsibilities
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for sanitary, storm, and combined sewer systems using PCSWMM, HEC-HMS, or comparable software.
- Lead and manage municipal infrastructure projects, including roadway, drainage, sanitary sewer, and water distribution improvements.
- Prepare Location Drainage Studies and Drainage Technical Memorandums for federally and state-funded projects.
- Develop engineering reports, calculations, plans, specifications, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with municipal clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders throughout project development.
- Guide technical design decisions while ensuring high-quality project deliverables.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the professional development of the engineering team.
- Attend client meetings, project coordination meetings, and professional organization events as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Engineer Intern (EI) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- 2–10 years of municipal engineering and/or water resources experience.
- Experience with HydroCAD, HEC-HMS, PCSWMM, HydroFlow, Civil 3D, OpenRoads, ArcGIS, or comparable engineering software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high-quality work and meeting deadlines.
