RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Dive into designing quality projects from day one. Lead system design, including fire alarm and fire suppression systems, life safety code consulting surveying existing conditions, assisting in project management and coordination, and lots more fun stuff.
- Help us tackle our clients’ problems.
- Prepare and present technical reports and presentations.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably Fire Protection.
- 4 to 9 years’ experience in building code and life safety evaluations and fire alarm and fire suppression design.
- Experience with performing sprinkler layouts and hydraulic calculations in Hydracalc or similar design software] a plus
- Experience in production of construction documents and follow-on construction services. Position includes performing field surveys, and preparing code analyses, calculations, equipment selections, and specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Proficient in either AutoCAD or Revit.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to conduct day-long field surveys outdoors and indoors in conditioned and unconditioned spaces, including walking up to 10-20k steps in a day, climbing up and down a 6-foot ladder, kneeling, squatting, and bending.
- Ability to obtain site access at client locations.
- Ability to travel up to 10 nights in a year, in addition to day-long field surveys.
