We are seeking a Texas-licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) with strong civil design experience to join our team. The successful candidate will lead and support residential land development projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
Typical Responsibilities
- Provide civil engineering design for a variety of residential projects, including street, water, and sewer system design.
- Manage project deliverables from design through completion, ensuring compliance with quality standards and deadlines.
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships through proactive communication and reliable performance.
- Review and implement QA/QC processes on design documents.
- Collaborate with Engineers-in-Training and CAD technicians to coordinate project tasks and ensure accurate design execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering – Required
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Texas – Required
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design, including:
- Water and sanitary sewer pipeline design
- Roadway design for city and county projects
- Civil site development and drainage design
- Familiarity with local county and municipal design requirements and permitting
- Experience with Hydrologic & Hydraulic (H&H) modeling software, such as:
- HEC-HMS, HEC-GeoRAS, TR-55, HEC-RAS
- Knowledge of Flow Master, Culvert Master, StormCAD, InfoWorks, and XP-SWMM
- Familiarity with TxDOT design requirements
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills for reports and proposals
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities; capable of mentoring junior staff
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently, meet schedules, and stay within budget
- Commitment to client service and maintaining project quality from concept to completion
