Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) to join our growing San Antonio team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an established, fast-growing engineering and surveying firm that’s expanding its survey department to meet increasing client demand.
Responsibilities
- Prepare boundary, tree, topographic, and improvement surveys, as well as easement documents and related deliverables.
- Provide survey support for engineering projects, including reviewing survey scopes and fulfilling work requests.
- Prioritize projects and assign field crews as new requests are received.
- Monitor survey staff performance, document completion, and provide coaching, guidance, and feedback as needed.
- Coordinate closely with Project Managers to report progress, define survey scopes, and troubleshoot challenging project requirements.
- Oversee all survey tasks for accuracy and compliance; identify scope changes and track impacts on schedule and budget.
- Manage multiple projects efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) – Required
- 5+ years of professional surveying experience
- Strong working knowledge of easements, rights-of-way, plats, ALTA/NSPS surveys, boundary surveys, property descriptions, and topographic mapping
- Proven project management and leadership abilities
- Experience with both public and private sector projects (state, city, county, utility districts, and private land development)
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies and industry methods
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and Outlook
- Knowledge of MicroStation and GEOPAK a plus
- Valid Texas Driver’s License and ability to pass a full background check
- May be required to complete safety or related project-specific training
